Do you accept large appliances like full-size refrigerators or washing machines?
Yes β€” large appliances such as full-size refrigerators, washers, dryers, and large AC units are accepted for drop-off only at our Hayward facility. These items typically include a handling fee due to their size and required processing.
How much does appliance recycling cost?
Many small appliances are free to drop off, but some items require a fee to cover hazardous materials disposal:

β€’ $50 – Large Appliances (full-size refrigerators, washers, dryers, large AC units)
β€’ $20 – Mini Fridges
β€’ $10 – Microwaves

These fees help cover freon removal, metal recovery, and certified recycling.
Do I need an appointment to drop off my appliances?
No appointment is needed. You can drop off appliances during our normal business hours β€” simply check in at the front desk when you arrive.
Are there appliances you do NOT accept?
We cannot accept gas-powered appliances, appliances with active freon leaks, or items containing hazardous chemicals. We also do not accept household trash or non-appliance items like furniture.
What happens to my appliances after I drop them off?
All appliances are processed through certified recycling partners. Metals, plastics, and electronic components are recovered, and refrigerants are handled safely according to California environmental standards.
Can moving companies or junk haulers bring appliances to you?
Yes β€” movers, junk haulers, and contractors regularly drop off appliances at our facility. We can provide itemized receipts for your records or client billing.
Do you provide documentation for businesses?
